Who's Your Daddy?

I am fairly sure that every good Mama keeps a pacifier in her mouth,

a "lovey" on top of her head,

and a baby hanging by its neck...

from a hooded garment (aka the swim towel--though the towel was not from a swimming excursion that day, just a part of the fashion statement for the hour)

Minnie loves her dollies.  She cried last week because she is very sad that neither Mickey nor Hubby can be her "baby-daddy"

"My babies will need a DADDY when I gwow (grow) up and be a Mommy!

Hubby has assured her that he will be the Papa...

Mickey (who is very wise and KNOWS that siblings can't be married) scoffs and tells Minnie that he will be the uncle to her babies.

So all Minnie can imagine is her poor babies with no daddy since Mickey and Daddy will not comply with her wishes.

We giggle when she talks about the "baby-daddy".

So of course we have started praying with her that God will choose a very wonderful man that LOVES God with all of his heart, soul, and mind to be Minnie's husband and baby-daddy.  This calms Minnie's heart and she nods her head appreciatively as we pray for her future soul-mate.

Wow, we were not prepared for this at almost three!

wow. you had me laughing ("Baby-daddy") and crying (picturing Minnie praying for her soul-mate.) What a precious heart!
AAAAnd I can just imagine you showing this picture (adorable, by the way) to the man she brings home one day. "See this, son? THIS is what she wants ... to be a Momma ... and to be creative in her fashion. Can you support that?"
